Hier Kommt die Sonne

Me right now
The past week has been filled with pain, sickness and FUNSIES! Unlikely combination.

My mother or my boyfriend has infected me with this awful flu. Sore head, aching throat, soaring temperature and a vast amount of pressure behind my eyes.

It keeps persisting. No amount of paracetamol, lemsips or soothers are giving me any relief. Mum even gave me some of her antibiotics. No results yet.

The best thing for me would be to retreat to bed in my onesie and hibernate but unfortunately that was not possible.

Fortunately the reason for that was to see Rammstein and Deathstars in Dublin! Kinda wanted more from Deathstars, yanno maybe a little Synthethic Generation? But when supporting Rammstein it has to be expected. Plus Cat Casino waved at my boyfriend and I before going on stage. Major fan girl moment. He so beautiful. c:
Rammstein where as marvellous as ever. The stage show wasn't as big as the last time I saw them but that was in Manchester. Dublin's a litttttttle less significant.  Still, there was a bridge lowered over the crowd, big fans that looked quite biomechanical and LOTS of fire. Face was singed off.

The man who may as well be my dad :l

Then back to hotel, which was fun for a while... But whether you're sick or not, a big hairy man playing music and shouting all night is not productive to sleeping. Even if they do look fabulous in your tutu.

In other news, a big package of beads arrived!
It was like Christmas but better and lacking in ignorant, uniformed Christians demanding that the birth story and birth date of their God is unique.
Cameos and watch faces and so many pretty shiny things.
So far I've made this ring and a necklace. :3

Although this weekend was fun, I am now piled under masses of work. Yay. :c -coughs feebly-

More Anti-war Art!

Next page! Little dead girl with teddy bear? Bit gruesome but war is grusome.

Again since I like working backwards somewhat, this is contextual.
And again using Lewis Hunter as my contextual artist (seeing as he's the only artist I can find that does anti-war art I like)

This set of photographs by him is called 'Child of War'

You can find the rest of this project here.

Make Couture -- Not War

I loveloveLOVE this!
Also goes rather well with my theme for GCSE art.
I've got my first page all done!

If my teacher doesn't like it I'll viciously murder her then take pictures of the crime scene for this unit. >_<

Also getting things together for my final piece seeing as we haven't been told when we're doing it. The art department is as organised as ever it seems.
It's gonna be a big mixed media painting. The background will be all colourful and happy with flowers and but there'll be a big gun made out of toy gun and soldiers which will be dark and dreary and a bit steampunk just because. :3

A Strong Imagination Begetteth Opportunity... Right?

Hey there!

I'm full of ideas, but have zero funds and/or motivation to do them.

Mum's gonna buy me some art supplies and I'll have about £300 to do with what I will soon enough. Hopefully that'll act as a much needed catalyst.

Need to get working on my fairy homes and habitats sketch book again. It currently consists of some mushroom studies and a half painted house. It hasn't progressed anywhere since December.
Also working on a tree of life sketch book, I've got all these ideas for it stuck in my head and they refuse crawl out onto the page. Refuse.
I took some pictures to try spark something but the ideas cower away from my white pages. The picture I currently have as my header for instance;

The left looks so much like a little person! :3
Kinda like those tree spirits in Princess Mononoke!

What am I going to do with this?
                 I haven't the slightest idea.

When it comes to other things such as jewellery and clothes I have a better notion of what I'm doing, and moneys shan't be a problem soon enough.
I have this silk shirt that isn't quite as frilly as I would like at the cuffs. Ima go crazy with lace!
Primark, though revolting has many exceedingly cheap pairs of heels. (Which look equally as cheap...) I plan to buy loads and paint pretty things on them and make them shiny with rhinestones and frill-ify them and STUFF!
Like the shoes for my Silent Hill nurse cosplay cost £1 but I made them fabulously bloody and icky and Silent Hilly.

There's loads of cute little creatures I want to knit/crochet and there's that fox hood/scarf I gave up knitting a while ago. It consists of ears and half of the hood. It's gonna be mega cute.
I have many steampunk charms so Ima buy some nice chain and make pretty bracelets.
Also got 50g of cogs and such so Ima make rings and chokers and collars.

So much STUFF. -excitement-
That is IF I do the stuff...
I'll try. I'm too lazy but I'll try!

Or take more pictures of myself. Yanno'.

Life Itself is a Proper Binge

Too much binging lately. Needs to stop.

Sticking to things has always been a problem of mine.
Whether it's a diet or a list of things to do a day later it all goes to heck.

Regardless, I am going to try my very hardest.
I'm going to take baby steps and hopefully in doing so I'll actually get somewhere.

Feet together, legs apart

  1. Legs. I hatehateHATE my thighs. My goal is a complete thigh gap. My inner thigh is 20.5 inches so I'm getting there, only the top of my thighs touch now but that's the part I have most difficulty working.
  2. Once I'm happy with my legs I'll move onto my tummy. I've not got much of a problem with it, but I would prefer it to be more toned, smaller waist etc (Hoping this will help a bit with corsetry)
  3. Overall I want to lose just under a stone. I'm currently 5, 3" and weight 119 pounds giving me a BMI of 21. I'd prefer that to be 19.

Look at her pretty hips n' tummy n' stuff :3

Kato sized would be PERFECT.

On the subject of steampunk, I really need more nice clothes. Mummy  tried buying me the trousers she's wearing here but they were out of stock T_T

I should have some money soon so I could be naughty and buy some nice materials..
Most of it will have to go on art materials though.

That's another thing I have to stick to. Doing work. I wanna to some art everyday along with academicy stuff. Trouble is when I get home I often just collapse on the sofa and sleep for 5 hours. -sigh-

Probably ain't gonna work out, but one can wish.

War and Peace

1st unit of art is done and given in. YAY!
Now for the second unit... Oh frabjous day! Callooh... Callay... T_T

For this unit we're given a theme, this year that theme is... -drum roll-

Objects.

How bloody vague is that?!
Regardless of this I managed to come up with an idea.
My objects will be general toys! Then I shall go on to toy guns and then a sort of war and peace type thing.
Right now I couldn't be bothered with boring observation studies and fortunately my teacher is letting me work backwards.
I'm currently working on some contextual;

S'about half done. Gonna be blood everywhere in the shape of a peace sign, 'cause I'm deep like that. The contextual artist being Lewis Hunter, the pieces I used for inspiration are here.

Also A2 is a daunting size for working on paper. Gimme a huge canvas and some oil paints - fiiiiine. A2 page? I curl up in ball and cry.
And I have to do about 7 of these...
Lots of work for Courtney ._.

I Do I Do I Do Believe In Fairies

Exams are over! I know I haven't done well in them but considering circumstances that's understandable.

My first unit of my Art GCSE is very almost done!

Thank good fucking goth for that...
A main theme in it was fairy creature... Things! So here's a few of them;

Some photos taken by me with fairies (sourced from Google Images as I have already done enough work) crappily edited in. Stuff like this generally goes down well at GCSE.

I keep telling everyone I'm a fairy but they just don't listen!
